Character, roleplay and "OOC"In Fandra, each player has to obey rules of Roleplay. The main rule is to play 'in character'. When you enter the world of Fandra, you don't enter it by yourself. You should create a character, choose a role for him and play it. Character(char) is a person, who lives in the world of Fandra and has no connection to 'Real Life' (RL). He is your incarnation/embodiment in our world. You are allowed to have several characters, but they should never interact with each other. That means, that you are not allowed to log in with several characters at one time. You can't pass objects or information from one character to another. That means, that when you are playing a role of one of them, you should try not to use the knowledge, gained by your other chars. 'Out Of Character' (OOC) behaviour won't be tolerated. OOC behaviour includes revealing your real name to other players and discussing RL topics with them. Choosing a role for your character consists of several important steps. The first one is a name choice for your character. At this point, you should already have an idea of your character, and the name should suit for hero of your future race and sex. The list of possible races and classes available. Not every combination is possible - for example, how do you imagine a troll archmage? After that you should continue building his/her unique role. This includes developing his/her speech style, relations to different types of people, habbits and temper. It is also very important to write character's description. If your character's class is religion-based, or if you just want to live an exciting life of a god follower, you will have to choose a god at some point of your char's life. Notice: in Fandra character's relations are heavily influenced by his race and religion. For example, darnoks hate elfes and dwarves. This is normal in the fantasy world, and is even a required part of roleplay. BUT, please notice: none of the implementors support racial or religious discrimination in real world. Expression of any form of Out-Of-Character racism or other kind of discrimination will cause immediate termination of one's access to Fandra. Don't make your character just another copy of your personality. Don't miss a chance to discover your alter ego's, and to experince events and feelings which are impossible for you in real life. In your real life you normally wouldn't ever think of getting into a fight, and here you will have to fight for your friends or for your faith, and might even die and reborn in a new body. If you are shy, try to roleplay a character, who isn't. If you are kind, try to be evil. Be different and creative.
